Poetry – Goodbye, Mom & Dad

Credits to Kate Campbell via medium.com

I have your name
forever written.
I will always have you,
and all the wisdom
that you imparted.
We’ll meet again
beyond the sky’s blue,
found that kingdom—
there we’ll be united.

ENLIGHTEN ME

You leave me here in this dark and misty surroundings,

I am blindly walking around your intricate disposition.

Seeking for some answers to these questions I am facing.

Who are you really? Enlighten me with your passion.

FAKE CALMNESS

The tranquility terrifies me for I was once filled with chaos from within.

I battled through these wars long enough to question did I really win?

Deep inside my mind, it’s just a matter of time until it all falls apart

and this calmness is just holding off what will finally crush my heart.

50-WORD STORY: SICK

SICK

It’s all crashing down,
deep into the ground.

It’s all falling apart,

and it is tearing her heart.

Her hope is wearing thin,
a slight misstep might drive her completely insane.

Her faith is getting weak,

but still she prays that she won’t get any sicker than she already is.
