I thought I felt the worst of the storm not until I was in the eye of it.
Last night I was in the eye of the storm that took several lives and it took all of me.
Last night darkness was all around, it was raining so hard that I couldn’t distinguish my own tears from it.
Last night was a disaster, a catastrophe, a tragedy that I normally just sleep from but the storm took that power away from me.
Last night I finally felt the impending doom that I couldn’t run from, that I thought I couldn’t survive from, I thought it was the end.
Last night was the worst, I don’t know how many storms I can survive from but I know that it wasn’t the last of it there are more of them to come.
Sad but poetically put. I like the line about not being able to distinguish tears from the rain.
